Quickly find any open tab with Chrome Tab Search

Chrome Tab Search is a powerful feature natively available in Google Chrome to help you quickly find what you are looking for in any open Chrome tab.

If you are like me, you accumulate so many open Chrome tabs over time that you can barely see them. My excuse is that I am opening a tab as a “to do” that I will go back to later to complete. The problem is that I’m almost never able to find the tab that I am looking for when I need it most — until now!

Chrome Tab Search was quietly added to all versions of Google Chrome in late 2020, but I only stumbled upon it recently. To find any open tab, simply click on the downward arrow “˅” at the top right of the screen to show a listing of all open (and recently closed) Chrome tabs. A search dialog is available to narrow down the list by searching through open tabs.

By using Google Chrome Tab Search, I no longer struggle to find the tab that I am looking for and no longer worry about closing tabs.
